Sports Rights in 2026
It is important to understand the new Swedish sports-rights landscape for 2026. Allsvenskan is no longer shown through Viaplay. The rights have moved to TV4 Play from the 2026 season. Tele2 TV & Streaming Sport includes TV4 Play Sport, but Allsvenskan requires the specific TV4 Play Sport Fotboll add-on.
That is the only unclear point in an otherwise broad package. Premier League through Viaplay, Champions League through Viaplay, Formula 1 through Viaplay and SHL through TV4 Play are all included in the base package. If you want Allsvenskan, you need to add the football package.
Value and Bundle Discount
The package gives customers a broad sports offer at a bundled price. Bought separately, the included services would cost significantly more. Customers who already have Tele2 broadband or a Tele2 mobile plan can also get additional package discounts, which makes the offer stronger for existing Tele2 customers.
Always check the current price at tele2.se/tv, since campaign prices and standard prices change over time.
User Experience
The Tele2 Play app brings the content together in one place and works on mobile, tablet, smart TV and computer. Customers do not need to log in to separate apps for all content; most of it is available through Tele2 Play. Content is available throughout the EU/EEA.
The interface is functional, but it is not as polished as Viaplay's own app for dedicated sports streaming users who want maximum control.
Flexibility
No binding period is the default, which is valuable for a sports package where the value changes with the season. When the season ends, cancel. When the new season starts, subscribe again.
Pros
- Premier League, Champions League and F1 via Viaplay are included
- TV4 Play Sport with SHL is included
- Allsvenskan is available as an add-on
- Bundled offer — one account and one invoice
- No binding period
- Extra discount for existing Tele2 customers
Cons
- Allsvenskan is not included in the base package and requires an add-on
- The interface is not as polished as Viaplay’s own app
- The standard price can be high after the campaign ends
Verdict - Tele2 TV & Streaming Sport
Tele2 TV & Streaming Sport is the smartest way to gather Sweden's broadest sports coverage under one roof. Customers get Premier League, Champions League, Formula 1 and SHL in the base package, with Allsvenskan available through the TV4 Play Sport Fotboll add-on.
The key point is that Allsvenskan is not included automatically. If you know that and are willing to add the football package, it is hard to find a better sports bundle on the Swedish market.
Best for: Sports fans who want Premier League and Allsvenskan, existing Tele2 customers, and anyone who wants to stop juggling separate sports subscriptions.
