Comviq vs Fello – which mobile plan suits you best?
Comviq or Fello? We compare the networks, prices and contract terms head to head and help you choose the right low-cost operator for you.
Photo source: UnsplashComviq and Fello are two of the most popular low-cost operators in Sweden – but they run on different mobile networks and think very differently about price and contract terms. In this comparison we go through the networks, the prices, the pros and cons and who each operator suits best, so you can choose right away.
The short version: Comviq runs on Tele2's network and has low campaign prices where a fixed term gets you twice as much data. Fello runs on Telia's network – often rated the most extensive in the country – and always has plans with no fixed term, plus a really cheap introductory price for the first few months. At the standard price they're close to each other, so the choice often comes down to the network and how long you plan to stay. You can also compare mobile plans at Wipick to see the whole market.

Comviq – the most data for your money
Comviq runs on Tele2's network, which is stable and strong especially in cities and towns, with well-developed 5G. What makes Comviq interesting is the price model: the campaign price runs for 6 months, and for the same price you get twice as much data if you accept a 12-month fixed term, compared with the equivalent plan with no contract.
| Data | Campaign price (6 months) | Standard price | Fixed term | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 GB | 59 kr/mo | 129 kr/mo | None | Go to Comviq → |
| 10 GB | 59 kr/mo | 129 kr/mo | 12 months | Go to Comviq → |
| 20 GB | 109 kr/mo | 229 kr/mo | None | Go to Comviq → |
| 40 GB | 109 kr/mo | 229 kr/mo | 12 months | Go to Comviq → |
| 100 GB | 179 kr/mo | 359 kr/mo | None | Go to Comviq → |
| 200 GB | 179 kr/mo | 359 kr/mo | 12 months | Go to Comviq → |
Pros: low campaign prices, double data with a contract, a wide range of data tiers and good 5G coverage on Tele2's network.
Worth noting: the campaign price runs for 6 months – after that the monthly cost rises to the standard price. If you want the largest data packages (40 GB and 200 GB) at the campaign price, a 12-month fixed term is also required.
Fello – best coverage and always contract-free
Fello runs on Telia's network, which is often rated the most extensive in Sweden and is strongest in the north and in rural areas. All of Fello's plans are completely free of any fixed term, and right now you pay just 20 kr a month for the first three months whichever plan you choose – after that the standard price applies.
| Data | Price (3 months) | Standard price | Fixed term | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 GB | 20 kr/mo | 120 kr/mo | None | Go to Fello → |
| 10 GB | 20 kr/mo | 180 kr/mo | None | Go to Fello → |
| 20 GB | 20 kr/mo | 230 kr/mo | None | Go to Fello → |
| 40 GB | 20 kr/mo | 290 kr/mo | None | Go to Fello → |
| 100 GB | 20 kr/mo | 370 kr/mo | None | Go to Fello → |
Pros: Telia's market-leading coverage, never any fixed term and a very low introductory price for the first three months.
Worth noting: the introductory price only applies for 3 months, and the standard price is higher than Comviq's campaign price. Fello suits you if you value coverage and flexibility more than the lowest possible long-term price.
Head-to-head: price per data tier
Here you see the operators side by side at the same data amount, both the campaign/introductory price and the standard price.
| Data | Comviq (campaign → standard) | Fello (3 months → standard) |
|---|---|---|
| 5 GB | 59 kr → 129 kr (no contract) | 20 kr → 120 kr |
| 10 GB | 59 kr → 129 kr (12-month contract) | 20 kr → 180 kr |
| 20 GB | 109 kr → 229 kr (no contract) | 20 kr → 230 kr |
| 40 GB | 109 kr → 229 kr (12-month contract) | 20 kr → 290 kr |
| 100 GB | 179 kr → 359 kr (no contract) | 20 kr → 370 kr |
| 200 GB | 179 kr → 359 kr (12-month contract) | – |
The verdict on price: Comviq is cheapest during the campaign period and pushes the price extra hard if you choose a contract for double data. Fello is cheapest of all for the first three months thanks to the 20 kr price. At the standard price the two are surprisingly close – Comviq is slightly cheaper on the smaller packages, while the gap narrows on the larger ones. That means the choice is rarely decided by price alone, but just as much by the network and how long you plan to stay.
Network and coverage – the deciding difference
Since both are low-cost operators without complicated extras, the network is often what decides it. Fello uses Telia's network, which is generally rated the most extensive in the country and is strongest in the north and in rural areas. Comviq uses Tele2's network, which is very strong in cities and towns where most people live.
In practice that means: if you live and move around mostly in a city, both networks work excellently, and then the price is the deciding factor – an advantage for Comviq. If you live in northern Sweden, in the countryside, or commute through areas with patchy coverage, Telia's network via Fello is the safer choice. Price and fixed term – how they differ
The two operators think differently about price. Comviq tempts you with a low price for 6 months and lets the fixed term become a lever for more data – choose a 12-month contract and you get twice as much data for the same money. Fello keeps it simple with zero fixed term throughout and a very low introductory price for 3 months. Once both reach the standard price the difference is smaller than you might think, so it comes down just as much to how long you plan to stay: if you switch often to chase campaigns, both can be cheap, while anyone staying long term should do the maths on the standard price.
